Ludlow family matriarch Marjorie "Sigit" Ludlow is the namesake of our most popular cheese: Mecox Sigit. In honor of her centennial birthday this year, we're introducing two new members to the Sigit Family!
Meet Young Sigit and Sigit Reserve, two new twists on an alpine classic.
This mild and creamy alpine is similar to a Cantal Fermier, and is aged less than one year. It has a soft interior, with the same buttery sweetness found in our raw milk. Use it as a delicate addition to your cheese board, or melt it to use in soups or your favorite cheesy recipes. Limited quantities are available now at The Farm Store.
We select just a few special wheels of our Mecox Sigit to stay on the shelves for up to five years to make our Sigit Reserve. This special and rare variety has a strong, nutty flavor, and crystallized amino acids add a satisfying crunch to every bite. Enjoy this unique cheese with sweet berries and honey.
